The Polk county Museum archives contain hundreds of photographs, letters, diaries and other personal records from the pioneering families of Polk county.
As a service to genealogy researchers, we provide the following tools: Files on early Polk county families, Polk County marriage records (1846-1893), black history research aids, newspaper obituaries and death notices, Commissioner’s Court minutes (1846-1870), records of historical markers in Polk County, church histories, cemetery surveys, citizens of the Republic of Texas in Polk County.
